The architects at Wiegerinck made the decision to use the durable entrance mats from emco on account of not only their ability to withstand the building’s high level of footfall and intensive exposure to coarse and fine dirt, but also their aesthetic appeal. Furthermore, these entrance mats also meet the requirements for slip resistance as well as being readily accessible and safe for walking aids, wheelchairs and electric mobility vehicles. In terms of how it looks, the entrance mat fits perfectly into the overall design of the Amphia Hospital. The architects were keen to come up with a sustainable, future-proof and contemporary building with a high-end appearance.
