Please observe the following care instructions, because surface and material damage caused by improper handling is not covered by the warranty. Do not use scratchy sponges or scouring agents for cleaning. We also advise against using cleaning agents containing solvents or acids, limescale removers, household vinegar and cleaning agents containing acetic acid. Clean only with a little soap and a damp cloth, then simply rinse and rub dry.
Glass surfaces: please clean only with a damp chamois leather. Just wipe the glass edges dry. After cleaning, it is important to rub all surfaces dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Please also always observe the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.
Mineral cast: a clean, soft damp cloth (please do not use any microfibre cloths) is enough for cleaning. For heavier grime, please use a mild liquid cleaner – with no alcohol or scouring cream – and warm water. imescale deposits can be removed with household vinegar or non-abrasive, limescale-dissolving and mild detergents. We recommend removing spilled substances immediately – you should avoid hair dye, in particular, getting on the washbasin. To maintain the shine on the mineral cast surface, we recommend applying a high-quality car polish from time to time and polishing it up. Important: to protect the surface, the water temperature should not exceed 65°C. Please always follow the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.
Fittings & accessories: you must avoid using particularly sharp and abrasive cleaners on EMCO fittings and accessories. Abrasive cleaning aids, such as scouring agents, and equipment, such as sponge scourers, must not be used. The surface of the fittings and accessories could be damaged. You must observe the cleaning dosage prescribed by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent and a maximum exposure time of 10 minutes. When using a cleaning product from a spray bottle, never spray the cleaning solution directly onto the EMCO products; instead spray it onto the cleaning cloth and clean the fitting with this. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any possible residues of the cleaning product. Please also always observe the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.
Plastic parts are not designed to withstand the high temperatures in the dishwasher’s drying programme.
It is possible to use fittings from other brands. Vice versa it is also possible to use emco’s fittings for other wash basins.
When the fitting uses pressure-tight technology, a defect or dirty aerator can cause this problem. A cleaning or exchange may be required. Also a defect or dirty flow limiter can be the cause.
Please check water connections are mounted in a deenergized condition. This is required to balance out different mounting dimensions. Please also check whether mounting dimensions comply with mounting specifications. It is necessary to use original seal rings for mounting of the fitting. Please exchange defect seal rings.
Our fittings have a static water exit in order to ensure ideal water exit to our wash basins. Therefore, the angle is non-adjustable.
This situation happens in order to release pressure during the heat-up process in an open water heater. This is caused from physics and not deemed as product defect. An exchange or claim will not be accepted.

The 2-component adhesive takes 4 hours to set. During this time, no weight should be placed on the accessory.
We have tested the loading capacity of the accessories with application of the glue system in the lab. The glued accessories are loaded with different weights, and the weight is gradually increased.
It is possible to glue onto joints, but we recommend not doing so. Removing residues from joints is more labour intensive. If you still need to do this, single horizontal or vertical joints are more suitable than crossing points.
Yes, you can. Please make sure the drill holes are cleared and filled with adhesive before the mounting plate is attached.
If used correctly, the detergent will not cause any problem to them.
Once the glue has set, it behaves like a rubbery plastic. The long-term stability has been tested extensively – even in wet areas. The adhesive bond will last until you decide to remove it.
On a smooth surface, you can simply remove a mounting with a putty knife and a hammer. Should any traces of adhesive remain, they can easily be removed with a ceramic scraper or a silicone remover and a cloth.
It is enough for about 5-6 items.

The emco light system is designed to ease with controlling your luminaires, using the app with your iOS or Android device.
With our partner Casambi, luminaires can be easily controlled in only one app which they have developed. Bluetooth-enabled luminaires (from Philips Hue or Casambi, for instance) are linked together in the app, either on their own or with accessories such as the Xpress control interface. The Bluetooth 4.0 protocol is used in the communication between the device and the luminaires. While the ELS control units form a network, allowing all the luminaires can be controlled as long as the device is within range of the network.
The Casambi app was developed for iOS devices on iOS 7.0 or later versions. It works on iPhone 4s, iPad mini and iPod touch 5 or later. It has also been optimized for iPhone 5. An Android version of the app is also available.
The Casambi app supports Philips Hue luminaires and Casambi-powered luminaires.
Pairing means that a light is uniquely connected to the network using the settings sent to it. External use by third parties can also be prevented, for instance with an authorization code.
There are two ways to do the pairing:
Philips Hue gateways can only be unpaired from networks to which they have access to. Select the “More” tab > “Nearby luminaires” > Select gateway and click on “Unpair gateway”.
No. You can only connect Casambi Bluetooth control units to one network at a time. However, it is possible to control the control unit from several devices in the same network, e.g. if you and your partner would both like to access the bathroom mirrored cabinet with your iOS device. That works.
Yes. A Hue gateway can be used in several networks simultaneously. To pair, press the confirmation button on the gateway box.
A network is a group of Casambi Bluetooth control units that using the same network settings. Since they are using the same settings, the units can identify and communicate with each other. When the Casambi app is used as a control unit, it does exactly the same thing: By using the shared network settings, it can join the network and acts as a control unit as well.
With network sharing, you can share the existing Casambi network with other mobile devices. For example, if you are the administrator of the network and would like to share the network with your partner, you could share it with their mobile device. Once the network is shared, the settings and associated luminaire images will be shared via a secure cloud service.
To store data such as luminaire images and network settings, the Casambi-App needs an internet connection. The data is stored in a secure cloud and made available to other devices.
All mobile devices with at least one guest access to your network can control the basic functions of the luminaires. However, access to your network can be restricted and limited. You can change the network share from “open” to “do not share”, “password protected” or “administrator only” under the “Network” menu item. The luminaire settings can only be changed with the device on which the administrator password is stored. This setting is independent of the network share.
If you have stored an administrator email address in the network settings, the password can be reset using the “Reset” function with your email address. Otherwise, you can manually remove the luminaires from the network. Empty networks will not be displayed in the network list unless they were created with the same end device.
To reset the app and delete the cached data, you may do as the following. Select “More” tab > click “Refresh” button > press and hold “Change network” button. This step deletes stored passwords for the networks that are stored on the device. Networks will not be deleted from the cloud.
Only open and password protected networks are shown in the list. You can join an “Administrator-only network” by selecting the “Log in to network” option, which can be found under the “Networks” menu item.
If the problem persists, your connection to the cloud may be affected. You may try to reload the network list, restart the app or reset the app to factory defaults.
You can use the feedback option in the Casambi app for this. Please describe as detailed as possible what you did before and after the error in the app.
You may go to the “Luminaires” tab and click on “Nearby luminaires”. If that doesn’t work, you may try clicking on the “More” tab. Then tap on the gateway in the list and select “Search for new luminaires”.
