Three business areas
The emco Group serves the market segments “architecture”, “work- life” and “mobility”. The company represents itself worldwide as a leader in the provision of tailor-made solutions that combine technology and design. In 1994, the Lingen-based company built factories in France and the Czech Republic, and in 1996 its first plant in China. In 2011, another plant followed in Turkey. The middle-sized family business encountered increasing competitive pressure in the international markets with optimization measures and investments in future-oriented projects.

1945 The company was founded by Erwin Müller
1949 Novus staplers went into production
1952 The bathroom fittings division (was latered named as emcobad) was established
1960 The matting division (was later named as emcobau) went into production
2002 The Group took over Dahle Bürotechnik
2008 Christian Gnaß joins the management board of the Erwin Müller Group
2009 The Hong Kong subsidiary, emco Novus International Ltd., was founded
2010 emco fully took over C/R/O/® (our Clean off products); emco electroroller GmbH was founded
2014 The company Erwin Müller Group Lingen was renamed in recognition of its internationalisation: the emco Group
2015 Christian Gnaß took over as chair of the management board
