Essen / Lingen, 06th March 2018 – A shaving and cosmetic mirror featuring an innovative lighting concept was presented by emco Bad at the SHK Essen 2018. Thanks to a special technology that guides the LED light at the back onto the mirror rim the new product has an extremely flat, elegant design. At the same time the special radiant effect of the dazzle-free lighting enables an even evener illumination of the face than with conventional cosmetic mirrors. Brightness and colour temperature can be dimmed on the back of the mirror by means of control elements. With a consumption of less than 2 watt the new product is also extremely energy-efficient. Furthermore the shaving and cosmetic mirror can be optionally connected to the “evo” illuminated mirror cabinet via the “emco light system” and with other lighting units via Bluetooth so as to create a homogeneous light atmosphere in the bathroom. All that is needed for this is to fit the light sources with a suitable module or Casambi-enabled light source.
The new shaving and cosmetic mirror is available with a three- or a five-fold magnifying surface with a diameter of 200 mm. This surface is held by a robust yet flexible scissor arm with a reach of 360 mm. This enables the mirror to be folded back nearly flush with the wall and so, with the wall bracket located under the arm, forms a compact unit. The ballast unit for the light control is integrated into the wall element for direct connection and into the wall plug transformer on the corded version. Because of the many different options – for example, with and without Bluetooth interconnection, with three- or fivefold magnification and as a direct connection or plug connection variant – the product range comprises a total of eight different cosmetic mirror models.
The new shaving and cosmetic mirror by emco Bad impresses by its innovative LED technology and flat, elegant design and can be optionally integrated into the “emco light system”.
The LED light guided onto the mirror rim at the rear can be steplessly adjusted for brightness and colour temperature.
